Superman vs. Predator

In the steamy Central American “Jungle of Shadows” a group of explorers from S.T.A.R. Labs chances upon an extraterrestrial ship, long abandoned—or so they think. As the explorers learn about an ancient local legend (about a “devil warrior” who hunts men), Superman arrives to help explore the ship. But its advanced defense mechanisms include something that is slowly dampening the Man of Steel’s powers. Meanwhile, the legendary “devil warrior” turns out to be the alien known only as Predator. This savage hunter stalks only the worthiest prey, and now he has his sights set on the Last Son of Krypton. Writer David Michelinie and artist Alex Maleev dream up a dandy mini-series here, pitting two powerful (if radically different) aliens against one another. Although not as exciting as Dark Horse and DC’s earlier Batman vs. Predator series, this is definitely above-average crossover reading, and well worth a look.
