Taking place in a futuristic 19th century America, Ivan Isaacs is an ex-priest who sells his soul to the devil Belial for power and revenge. Demonic forces envelope the American West with a cloud of evil as servants of a fallen archangel prepare for his resurrection, and it’s up to Isaacs to stop them from completing the Circle of Unholy Sabbath to revolt against God. This critically praised book manages to incorporate elements of horror and Westerns without seeming contrived.
