Credit Michael Gilbert (of Mr. Monster fame) with digging up some of the most amusing oddities of the past to reprint in his Mr. Monster’s Super-Duper Special line of titles. The fifth installment of that series, also know by its cover title of “Mr. Monster’s Hi-Voltage Super Science” reprints the obscure Fawcett tale, Vic Torry and his Flying Saucer. Despite the preposterous title, creator Bob Powell turned it into a thoroughly enjoyable space romp in the mold of Flash Gordon.
