Red Sonja: The Movie

Reprinting the original adaptation of the Red Sonja movie from Marvel Super Special #38, this comic was a lot better than the movie from which it was adapted. This is due to a number of factors, but perhaps most importantly because mythic characters such as Red Sonja and Conan the Barbarian just work better in print. There, they’re not restricted by bad acting, or to the foibles of actual actors. Instead, they can be the legends that this story demanded, limited in the realization only by the reader’s imagination.
