Harold Hedd in “Hitler’s Cocaine”

    (Kitchen Sink, 1984)
™ and ©1984 Rand Holmes

(From the Slings & Arrows Comic Guide)

In a manner reminiscent of Carl Barks’ Uncle Scrooge epics, Harold Hedd and his cousin Elmo set off in search of a cache of cocaine lost during World War II on its way to Hitler. With a parrot, a shark, a treasure map and two other groups after the loot, there’s plenty of slapstick action. Rand Holmes’ earlier Harold Hedd adventures, reprinted from the same Canadian newspaper that would later debut David Boswell’s Reid Fleming, were also published in two issues by Last Gasp. ~NF
