This extra-length special is the second installment of a four-part tale. It pits Detective Sara Pezzini, the current wearer of the Witchblade—an ancient weapon of unfathomable power, against mobster Jackie Estacado, the current human vessel of the Darkness and the most fearsome agent of Chaos the world has ever seen. What could bring these two supernatural forces into conflict? The Necrobi, that’s who! They’re ancient spirits who fear the Darkness, and they’ve captured Sara Pezzini in the hope that she will help them destroy Jackie Estacado. Will she, or won’t she? Well, she is a cop, and he is a gangster…seems only natural, eh?
