Like its magazine-sized predecessor, the standard comic book-sized Grateful Dead Comix adapts the Dead’s legendary lyrics into comic book form—which is very cool, considering that the likes of Timothy Truman (Hawkworld) and Omaha the Cat Dancer creators Kate Worley and Reed Waller lend their considerable talents to the project. Gorgeous artwork surrounds the lyrics of Grateful Dead songs, creating the kind of visual interpretation you’d never see on MTV.
