The Hood (Marvel)

The Hood is one of the few series that has a villain for a protagonist: a criminal named Parker Robins. When Robins and his cousin and fellow crook John bust into a warehouse to find some goods, they meet a demonic figure instead. Robins shoots the monster and steals its cloak and boots as he splits. He discovers that the cloak and boots have powers: The cloak gives him the ability to become invisible while he holds his breath, and the boots enable him to walk on air. Robins uses them to commit crimes, not realizing that his victims may have powers of their own.
