Rima, the Jungle Girl

    (DC, 1974-1975)
DC

Deep in the jungles of Venezuela, there is a secret place that even the local Indians fear to enter. This place is said to be the domain of a witch, who can change form between woman and beast at will.

Abel, a refugee from a Venezuelan revolution comes upon this place and meets the mysterious woman known as Rima. Bitten by a bushmaster snake, Abel is nursed back to health by Rima and her grandfather, and becomes the first man in an age to know her true story.

Although short-lived as a series, Rima, the Jungle Girl was easily one of the most intriguing of the various jungle titles at the time. However, for those whose tastes ran far from the wilds, the series also included an ongoing backup story featuring the Space Voyagers.
