First Comics was one of the most fresh and innovative publishers in the independent comics boom of the mid-1980s. Among its offerings were such favorites as American Flagg, Jon Sable, Freelance, Dreadstar, and Nexus.

The First Six Pack previewed upcoming storylines for six of their current and upcoming titles. Costing just 50¢ each, this “six pack” was an excellent and inexpensive way to keep First fans updated on what was going on with this spirited company.
