The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Tall, thin, and contrary, schoolmaster Ichabod Crane doesn’t spare the rod or spoil the child. But captivated by the beautiful Katrina Von Tassel, Crane scoffs at the threat of his rival Brom Van Brunt and ignores stories of the Headless Horseman and his bloody beheadings until a midnight ride through the forest just may change the teacher’s mind…

Painter extraordinaire Bo Hampton faithfully adapts Washington Irving's tale surrounding the inhabitants of Tarrytown, New York around the time of the American Revolution. This particular version of Irving’s classic was originally slated to be published by First Comics in 1992 as part of their Classics Illustrated line of graphic novels. This edition boasts fresh covers and 16 pages of new material, including numerous preliminary sketches of scenes and characters.
