In the early days of space exploration, four daring adventurers were transformed by cosmic rays, to become one of the most prominent super-hero teams in the Marvel Universe. But as this three-issue series shows, the Invisible Woman and the Human Torch had heroic spirits even before they helped form the Fantastic Four.

Already orphaned as teenagers, Sue and Johnny Storm lived relatively quiet lives with their aunt in suburban Long Island. He as a high school adolescent whose passion for cars and the girl-next-door was matched only by his curiosity. She as a young college student trying to play mom to her younger brother, all the while dreaming of Hollywood stardom.

But when a family friend suffers a mysterious and bizarre death, the two kids are suddenly plunged into a deadly mystery full of magic, zombies, and ancient evil.
