Poison Elves is a wonderful series about an elf who’s bad right down to the bone. The “hero,” is an assassin named Lusiphur who, although he’s an elf, bears no relationship to the fanciful creatures most elf comics portray. He drinks, he swears like a sailor, and his greatest joy in life is to lay waste to an enemy with excruciating slowness. One might have thought this would make for an unsympathetic, unpopular comic. Instead, it’s made Poison Elves (formerly I, Lusiphur) into a modern cult classic.
