Bastard Tales—clearly labeled “For Mature Readers”—features the adventures of Richard, the Angry Young Bastard. What’s he angry about? A lot of things, primarily the minor annoyances that plague our lives: Sunday comic strips that just aren’t funny, the Tony Awards and other such shows, drive-thru ATMs with Braille numbers on the keypads…you name it, Richard gets angry about it. In spite of the in-your-face title, this black-and-white independent is a fairly humorous commentary on everyday life.
