Fantastic Four Vs. X-Men is a four-issue limited series that finds two of the world’s greatest super-groups pitted against each other. At stake: the life of Kitty Pryde (a.k.a. Shadowcat). A member of the Uncanny X-Men, she became locked in an intangible state during the X-Men’s battle with the Marauders. If her teammates can’t find a way to make her tangible again, she will die. In desperation, they turn to the genius of Mr. Fantastic, of the Fantastic Four, to save her—only to have him inexplicably refuse.

Then Dr. Doom enters the picture. He possesses the technology to save Kitty, but at what price?
