ShadowHawk is a mysterious armored vigilante who makes criminals pay by snapping their spines. Created by Image co-founder Jim Valentino, ShadowHawk has proved one of Image’s most popular characters.

In this series, Valentino opened up the character of ShadowHawk to other artists’ interpretations. First among these was Keith Giffen (Lobo, Trencher) who used his unique drawing style to bring us ShadowHawk as we had never seen him before. What remains recognizable in any case is the fast-paced action of the series, producing the comic book equivalent of an action-adventure movie.
