Intrigue

Kirk Best worked for Pinnacle Security, chasing down a stolen prototype weapon from Cybertech Labs. Unfortunately, he was framed for killing the Vice President of the United States. FBI agent Lauren Sumner attached an explosive wristband onto Best which would kill him if he got more than 100 yards away from her. So it only made sense that when he escaped from custody, he would take her with him and together they would try to find the real killers.

Trying to get away from the typical universe where people with super powers become masked super vigilantes, Howard Shum has begun a carefully plotted series that relies on character driven action and thrills. The language is more adult than other titles, but the art and story are very intriguing.
