Artist Kia Asamiya breaks new ground with this revolutionary publication. For starters, Dark Angel: Phoenix Resurrection is the first Japanese manga published in color in the United States in over 10 years. Additionally, it is the first manga ever drawn by a Japanese artist specifically for an American publisher (in this case, Image Comics). The book was created on U.S. size comic book pages in an American drawing style—from left to right, so the art will not need to be flopped. It is truly a first in every sense of the word.
