This series was Harvey Comics’ attempt to emulate the success of Archie Comics. However, what looks like a simple Archie imitation, is really quite bizarre in spots. Bunny Ball was a fashion model that followed the traditional pattern of teen comics, but featured some of the most “unhip” teenager dialog ever written for a teen book, making this a must read for fans of this genre and of campy comic books in general. The backup feature “Fruitman,” about a simple grocery clerk who could transform himself into any type of fruit he wished in order to fight crime was another prime reason to buy this book.
