Savage Dragon: Red Horizon

So, Erik Larsen’s super-strong, fin-headed cop, the Savage Dragon, goes to a super-model fashion show…

What’s the punchline? Well, it seems that the Dragon’s crimebusting efforts have run him afoul of a Japanese crime-lord, so a long-legged, butt-kickin’ super-ninja shows up at the fashion show, looking to return to her master—the aforementioned crime-lord—with the Dragon’s head in a box. The work of writer-artist Mike S. Miller (JLA, Immortal II), Savage Dragon: Red Horizon is a solid story, but it lacks the punch—the inspired fun, really—of Larsen’s ongoing title.
