Labman

Rudy Coby is the self-proclaimed “hippest magician in the world.” Certainly, he’s one of the more unusual ones. Distinctive in his trademark hairdo and glasses, he takes on the persona of “Labman,” a scientific wizard, magician, and crimefighter. His television special, which premiered on the Fox network in 1996, combined stage magic, showbiz razzle-dazzle, and cartoony fun into one entertaining spectacle.

It’s only natural that such a comic character would make his way to the comic books. In this three-issue series, we learn how a mild-mannered, licensed scientist discovered a four-legged atomic chicken and stumbled onto the path of super-powered greatness.
