Spidery-Mon: Maximum Carcass

Bill Maus of Parody Press! goes Rasta in this send-up of Maximum Carnage. That interminable crossover ran through some nineteen issues of the various Spider-Man titles, making it one of the longest slugfests on record. In contrast, this one-shot is a real treat.

It begins when young Petree St. Parka accidentally left his Pop Tart in its foil wrapper when cooking it in the microwave. The foil charged up with radiation, and when St. Parka opened the door, it virtually exploded. Then a spider parked itself on top of the still-glowing Pop Tart and bit St. Parka when he went to pick it up. Suddenly, the Rasta found he had the ability to become…Spidery-Mon!

Here, we see the dredd-wearing super-hero as he webslings off of clouds in the Caribbean, saves suntan lotion vendors, and battles the evil Garbage and Venumb.
