The Heckler

    (DC, 1992-1993)
™ and ©1992 DC Comics, Inc.

This is a strange one. The Heckler originally appeared as the villain in a 1982 ad for Hostess Ho-Ho snacks cakes. From that dubious start, the grinning super-jock went on to die in the Crisis on Infinite Earths series.

So now, naturally, he has his own series.

He’s the smirking foil to the outrageous villains who populate the city’s underworld—villains like the cross-dressing “Mr. Glitter” and the putty-like “El Gusano.” While they’re punching, the Heckler’s making verbal jabs; and though they try to put a stop to him, he always manages to get in the last word. After all, he’s the Heckler.
