From the mind of Rob Liefeld comes Troll, a tough-talkin’, hard-fightin’, sawed-off, muscle-bound scrapper with a bad attitude and fuzzy sideburns. In Troll: Once a Hero, Troll feels the need to impress a fellow lowlife at the pool table by spinning stories about his illustrious past as manager of an all-women’s baseball team, a cigar-smoking paratroop commando, a secret agent, and an all-around celebrity who even had his scowling mug carved into Mount Rushmore. Since Troll bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain tough-talking, etc. mutant Wolverine, putting him in these exaggerated situations has plenty of potential for humor.

Writer Eldon Asp and artists Gabe Alberola and Pedi execute the book to the standards of creator Liefeld, capturing the essence of his idiosyncratic style.
