Predator Versus Judge Dredd

    (Dark Horse, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, Egmont Fleetway, Ltd., and Dark Horse Comics

This crossover mini-series features the kind of confrontation that used to be the stuff of fanboy speculation, in the days before competing companies realized how profitable cooperation could be. Judge Dredd, the no-nonsense law enforcement agent of Mega-City One, and his comrades-in-arms face the ultimate lawbreaker when a Predator chooses the ranks of the judges for a trophy hunt.

Originally, the antagonist from an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, the Predator has spawned a myriad of spinoff comics because it embodies the concept of the insatiable hunter that mankind is so often presumed to be. The self-assured authoritarian attitude of Judge Dredd is tested by the Predator’s success. It seems that a mere auxiliary judge with psionic ability, but a reluctance to use guns, may prove to be Dredd’s best ally.
