Dead Kid Adventures
(Knight, 1994)
™ and ©1994 Tom & Mary Bierbaum
A cool story line would be killing one of the characters, attending his burial and everything, then let him dig out of the coffin and return as a zombie super-hero. Morty Coyle was a cool, slightly goofy teen with the usual high school hang-ups until someone shot him. End of story, right? Wrong! It’s only the beginning as Dead Kid is not a gaunt figure wandering the earth wearing black clothing. This is a world where death doesn’t have to be the final word but a wild ride (preferably on a skateboard) into a more exciting and rewarding existence. As it happens with Morty AKA Dead Kid, the little rewards can sometimes accumulate over time, until one day they make all the difference in the world. Although it’s a roller coaster ride through some lunatic territory, his new adventures may provide a few interesting ideas to ponder.
