Batman: Dark Knight Dynasty
(DC, 1996-1997)
™ and © DC Comics
The Past. The Present. The Future. All three times have something in common: Batman. In one generation or another, he is there. However, all three times have something else in common: the immortal, and evil, Vandal Savage. Only he, though, understands the connection between the three times, and only he knows how to obtain the monumental power that exists across each time. Can Batman—as Bruce Wayne’s ancestor Joshua of Wainwright in a dark, Crusades-era past; as Wayne himself in the present; and as a Wayne descendant in the future—finally stop Savage? Will other allies join each side of the eternal struggle? Only Savage seems to know what’s to come, and he’s not telling.
The epic struggle is told by one writer, Mike W. Barr, and a host of talented artists (providing a unique look to each era), including Scott Hampton’s painted images, Gary Frank’s heroic art, and Bill Sienkiewicz and Scott McDaniel’s dark future. An Elseworlds graphic novel from DC Comics.
