Best-known for his work on the gentle giant known as Concrete, writer/artist Paul Chadwick changes gears completely in this intense, science-fiction adventure. A team of explorers known as the Team of Six is hired by a wealthy industrialist to venture into a mysterious sinkhole in Washington State, from which advanced technology has recently emerged. Upon entering, the group—each of whom brings their own personal baggage into the enterprise—finds plenty of inexplicable technology, as well as some of the most horrifying monsters imaginable. And often, their only escape is deeper into the Earth’s core.

Like something out of the 1950s, this Dark Horse title weaves human drama with fantastic monsters and the wonderment of the unknown. Introducing modern fans to a storytelling style from yesteryear, it’s an ongoing series that challenges the imagination.
