Bazongas
(Eros, 2004)
™ and © 2004 Kovik
Bazongas revels in the visual delight of women with large breasts—very large breasts. I mean hyper–inflated, oversize mammaries stuffed to staggering proportions. Male viewers might recall boobs like these scrawled on the bathroom wall back in grammar school. Clearly a fan, illustrator Kovik takes big boobs far, far out into new territory that straddles a border between juvenilia and art, steadfastly refusing to commit to either domain.
Some women here have breasts so big they can’t stand up straight. Some have boobs they can throw over their shoulders like a sack of potatoes. These bazongas can’t be contained by ordinary clothes, so why bother?
This thematically unorganized volume overwhelmingly features exuberantly big–breasted women with variously coy and knowing demeanors. Many of the illustrations are highly detailed and exquisitely embellished. There are approximately 40 black and white graphite drawings, some illustrations of famous Hollywood stars like you've never seen them, 8 color pencil illustrations, and several pen and ink pieces thrown in for good measure. Most of the work represents 2004 output, with some pieces going back as far as 1997. A few are undated.
