The first offering from the newly formed Aspen Comics, this series is more of a sketchbook/magazine than an actual comic series. Following the wake of Turner’s signature creation, Fathom, Aspen picks up the story of its aquatic heroine (the titualar Aspen) where the final Fathom left off.

Featuring all too brief glances into the newest creations of superstar artist Michael Turner, who is aided by ultra-hot writers Geoff Johns (JSA, Hawkman) and Jeph Loeb (Batman, Hulk: Gray), Aspen offers sketches, promos and interviews with all of the creators. The book also showcases the soon to be released Soulfire (co-written by Loeb) and Ekos (co-written by Johns). Turner’s artwork is stellar as usual, and the creative freedom of publishing his own creations agrees with Turner’s pencil.
