World of Young Master

    (New Comics Group, 1989)
™ and ©1989 Chuck Dixon

Chuck Dixon (Airboy, Detective Comics) is probably one of the best all-out action writers in comics, and he is certainly at the top of his game here, in Demon Blade: World of Young Master. Nitobe, a young swordsman, comes into possession of a mystical sword that takes control of him. It drives him to kill and he fights to gain mastery of it and to learn the identity of its maker. Once he has killed the swordsmith and his clan, he will be free of the blade. Ironic, eh? Kill to be free from killing? Dixon’s compelling story is beautifully illustrated by comic veteran Alex Niño (Thriller) in a style that is reminiscent of the excellent Lone Wolf and Cub.
