What if Superman’s amazing abilities were channeled to the arena of sports instead of altruism? This Elseworlds story examines that notion leading the seminal super-hero into the world of big business and corporate intrigue.

Adopted by Darryl and Edna Suderman, instead of the Kents, young Dale is traumatized when his blossoming powers accidentally cause his mother’s death. A mental block buries the knowledge of his abilities and Dale becomes an introverted ward of the state. When he absent-mindedly sinks a basket from fifty yards his flight to sports immortality is launched.

Using his superstar status to establish a multi-faceted business empire, Dale Suderman devolves to a ruthless, arrogant megalomaniac. This lifestyle brings him into conflict with like-minded Lex Luthor, who doesn’t relish the competition and vows to uncover whatever secrets Suderman may be hiding.

Tightly scripted by Steve Vance with the outstanding art of Jose García-Lopez, this tale affirms the inherent nobility of Superman.
