Ten years after their last recorded adventures, Lion-o is feeling his years and preparing to choose a new successor to take over the leadership of New Thundara and the ThunderCats who live there. But things suddenly become interesting with the arrival of the DoberLord and his Dogs of War. Their mission: world conquest. Their allies: The Lizarians.

A very nice story for all those ThunderCat fans out there Many loose ends from the popular animated television series are wrapped up and ended, but many new avenues of adventure are opened as well. John Layman’s story is true to the spirit of the original tales, showing a good familiarity with the mythos. Brett Booth along with Joe Pradd have given us their usual detailed art.
