Explorers of the Unknown

This was Archie Comics’ latter-day attempt to emulate the success of the long-running Life With Archie title that had ceased publication just a few years prior. Unfortunately, Explorers of the Unknown a.k.a. Archie’s Explorers of the Unknown failed to gain even a hint of the success of the former title, though not for lack of trying. The adventure stories were virtually as good as those in Life With Archie, it’s just that Archie’s core audience had changed, and with that came a shift to more humorous Archie tales.
