Wanda Maximoff—the Scarlet Witch—had been plagued by a strange nightmare. In it, a race of mystical creatures is overrunning a planet of women warriors. When the creatures finally conquer the citadel of the warrior queen, their leader removes his mask—revealing Wanda’s face!

The dream is nearly the same, night after night, badly jangling Wanda’s nerves. It gets worse, however, when mystic creatures attack the West Coast Avengers in their headquarters. The group manages to fight off the creatures, but Wanda resolves to find the connection between the attack and her bizarre night visions. Accordingly, she calls on her mentor, Agatha Harkness, who suggests that answers might be found in a special library located in the abandoned town of Unity. But when the pair enters and begins searching through the tomes, they discover the town is inhabited after all…by a demonic (and all-too-familiar) presence!
