Feelgood Funnies

Feel good? Not so sure about that. The “feelgood” of the title is Dr. Feelgood, an enormous black man in a small apartment who apparently is known as Dr. Feelgood for some various services, psychiatric or perhaps synthetic, which he provides to visitors who often come over with wild, fantastic stories to tell. In fact, “feeling paranoid” is the main theme to be explored in these stories, as the troubled men who visit frequently spin yarns about problems involving television, fantasy, and other such things. One makes the mistake of showing up to see him with a chip on his shoulder, which the large doctor proceeds to knock clean off.

The brief tales present humor, drama, and a decidedly offbeat overall appeal, familiar to underground comics of the 1970s. By Foolbert Sturgeon, published by Rip Off Press.
