Molly & Poo
(Abstract, 2005)
™ and © 2005 Terry Moore
“My name is Molly, and I write letters, looking for my soul in the tales of others.”
Thus begins Molly & Poo, a dark and murderous tale from Terry Moore of Strangers in Paradise fame. Young writer Molly Lane, desperate to sell her fiction, deals with her demons by creating the tale of a Victorian alter ego, Molly Fleming.
Set in London at the turn of the 20th Century, Molly’s story begins with a correspondence to the mysterious Poo, a sexy iconoclast with no respect for society’s rules. Poo gradually seduces Molly through a series of shocking love letters that draw the repressed housewife away from her controlling husband and into a series of unthinkable forbidden liaisons. But romance swiftly turns to horror when writer Molly is accused of a murder similar to her own fictional tales. Is she guilty, framed, or is her writing simply too close to the truth?
