Marvel Age Fantastic Four Tales

Some Fantastic Four adventures can be pretty intense. Time travel, negative zones, and horribly scarred or disfigured super-villains abound. This Marvel Age title, geared toward younger readers, recognizes that reality by presenting a more kid friendly foursome. The violence is non-lethal, and the enemies either turn out to be friendly (the Black Panther) or can be dispatched with a well-placed punch (Klaw). Call it Fantastic Four-lite, but regardless, it’s a good introduction to Marvel’s first family of super-heroes.

If the stories seem familiar to long-time readers, it’s because adventures are re-tellings of classic adventures originally done by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Written and drawn in a light and breezy style by creators including Brandon Thomas and Ron Lim.
