Kal-El—best known as Superman—has used his powers and heroic ability to save the Earth from a nightmarish existence. But that’s not enough for some of its ruling powers in this alternate reality, for they believe he can give them so much more of his Kryptonian science and knowledge. Unwilling to risk leading Earth down his own planet’s destructive path, Kal-El abandons his adopted home for war-torn Krypton. He’s followed, though, by an agent of those ruling powers: the lunatic known as Luthor. What they find on Krypton, a Civil War involving Kal-El’s parents, grandparents, and the evil General Zod, might make their clashes on Earth pale in comparison.

This prestige format one-shot, an Elseworlds tale, is a sequel to Superman: Last Son of Earth.
