An old crone struggles homeward towards her small village when she meets a red-hooded stranger on the road. Soon thereafter, the town is overcome with the dreaded pestilence of the red death. But the vagaries of nature are almost kind compared to the cruelties of Prince Prospero, the ruler of the land.

Prospero kidnaps the beautiful Francesca, the girl’s father, and her lover from the diseased village, and makes them prisoners in his castle of horrors for his own sadistic amusement. Will any of them escape with their lives, and if they do, will they survive the plague outside the castle walls?

This comic presents an adaptation of the movie “The Masque of the Red Death,” starring Vincent Price, and produced and directed by Roger Corman.
