Public Enemies

    (D.S., 1948-1949)
™ and ©1948 D.S.

These classic tales of crime and the stupidity of criminals are sprinkled with warnings to the reader on how to be aware of swindles, cons, and various other dangerous situations. A few humorous oddities are thrown in to keep the reader from getting too depressed, such as the man who was hitchhiking and was picked up by his own stolen car. The stories are based on true criminals and where they went wrong, from being too smartly dressed to killing a policeman in cold blood.
