Torpedo

    (Hard Boiled, 1993-1994)
™ and ©1993 Comics U.S.A.

Luca Torelli, a.k.a. Torpedo, is a gun for hire—and not a noble one at that. He wears a signature fedora and trench coat. Most of his adventures include the “whacking” of a character who often deserves his fate. Torpedo is as smart as he is tough, making up elaborate plans to trap his targets—although these have been known to backfire. For instance, in the story “Triple Cross,” he hires a local call girl to lure a mobster into a compromising position in order to kill him. The girl set up the mobster as planned. Torpedo in turn double-crossed her after the job is done in order to get back the money he paid her. But no sooner had he put a gun to her head, than he found a knife at his throat from the woman’s unseen accomplice.

Torpedo was created by written by E. Sanchez Abuli with illustrations by Jordi Benet. It is suggested for mature readers only due to nudity and adult situations.
