Warrior Nun Areala: Rheintöchter

This two-issue mini-series is set in the year 1527 in a feudal town along the Rhine river. A kriegesnonne (warrior nun) named Areala has been sent to investigate strange slayings which seem to be the work of an otherworldly creature. What’s more, the local clerics have succeeded in capturing the apparent killer—a beast that appears to be half-woman and half-snake.

But as Areala investigates further, it seems that there is even more to this case than meets the eye. For one, there are other “Rheintöchters” (daughters of the Rhine) living in the waters outside the town. Moreover, a boy gave reports of a giant lurking about. What are these dark forces? And what has this town done to deserve their wrath?
