There came a day when the Sun cooled and grew larger, swallowing Mercury, burning Venus, and drying up the oceans of Earth. Those that survived found treasure and weapons in the great ships that had sunk over the years, now lying in the hot light of day.
Little Billy Shepherd and his family were being hunted by a pack of “real bad men” when they and their survival group, searching for water in the deep canyons, are saved by a mysterious man who says he’s “just a pilgrim.” An expert shot with a cross on his face and the scriptures in his heart, he saves them time and again. But can even a man of God stand long against Captain Castenado and his deranged crew, or even those he protects, when Billy’s mom realizes where she’s seen this Pilgrim before?
