As this series begins, Marc Spector, the Moon Knight, has given up his multiple identities. The Knight of Khonshu has decided to work instead to find peace within himself.

But this respite was not to last. Halfway around the world, the statue of Khonshu has been acquired by a wealthy Arab. Realizing the powers that it holds, he causes Marc to be mystically summoned. The Arab’s plan is to defeat, then sacrifice the Knight of Khonshu, thus gaining the power he has sought for so long.
