Thundergod

    (Crusade, 1996)
™ and ©1996 William Elliott Tucci

This black-and-white series from writer Christopher Golden (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and artist Albert Debnam (Vampirella Strikes) is a radical approach to Thor, the legendary Norse god of thunder. Be warned, gentle readers: this is not Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s flaxen-haired, hammer-swinging deity; this version of Thor has been imprisoned for over 100 years by the Giants of Jontunheim and, needless to say, he’s ticked. After he’s rescued by his lady-love, the beautiful Sif, Thor takes the battle to the Dark Elves, the harbingers of the coming Ragnarok. But where does he find these insidious creatures that are bent on bringing evil and chaos into the world? Why, in the highest offices of the U.S. government, of course!
