Doc Savage: Devil’s Thoughts
(Millennium, 1992)
™ and ©1991 The Conde Nast Productions
It started on New Year’s Eve, 1932, in New York City. Doctor Clark Savage Senior was celebrating the new year with his son, Doctor Clark Savage Junior, and the younger Clark’s friends. The elder Doc Savage asked his son to meet a young woman down at The Purple Dragon, a known mob hangout. No sooner had Doc Savage Jr. hooked up with the woman, a beautiful chanteuse named Danielle Bouvier, than the members of the Boon Sok Loi mob burst in, seeking a rare artifact that Bouvier held.
Doc Savage and his friends beat off the attackers, but there was no escaping the web of intrigue they had fallen into. Before dawn would rise on 1932, Doc Savage, his father, and his men would have been taken prisoner by agents of a Cambodian devil. They would become intimately involved in a revolution brewing half a world away.
