Star Wars: Tag & Bink are Dead

    (Dark Horse, 2001)
™ and ©2001 Lucasfilm Ltd.

Tag and Bink are a couple of friends who joined the Rebel Alliance without realizing that it might actually be dangerous. They were there when Princess Leia was captured. They were on the way to Alderaan just as the Death Star blew it up. Then disguised as Storm Troopers, they were recruited by Darth Vader to assist him in pursuing some X-Wing fighters so, as a result, they weren’t on the Death Star when Luke blew it up. Regardless of the perilous situations they find themselves in, they always seem to land on their feet.

This title is a true rarity among the comics in the Star Wars franchise. It is a situation comedy set in the within the war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Traditionally C3PO’s consistently pessimistic observations have been the comedy relief, but the misadventures of these two characters amid the well-known settings of Episode IV convey a new perspective to the familiar situations.
