From the creators of Crying Freeman come another surreal spy series. An Olympic sprinter from MIT loves life — until he finds out that he may be the son of Gilgamesh, a mythological warrior dead long ago! With his universe turned upside down, Yu must track down the brother he never knew he had. Unfortunately, Mikhail intends to use their family heritage for world domination. Is Yu hero enough to stop him?

Tricked by Hitler’s granddaughter and forced to inherit a crew of assassins, Yu seeks his true identity. Did his father succeed in locating the lost civilization of Agartha, only to be murdered as a result? A pair of preserved dwarf mummies may hold the vital clues. With the help of Ray, a biology professor smitten with him, can Yu decode his past fast enough to save their lives and the future of the world?

Writer Kazuo Koike and artist Ryoichi Ikegami dish out a strange brew of over-the-top violence, sensuality, and international intrigue. Ikegami’s hallmark photo-realism is in fine form, but readers may be taken aback by shocking scenes of murder, sado-masochism, and censored sexual acts. Circumnavigating history and the globe, this plot packs in thrills but at the expense of a coherent conclusion.
