Richie Rich Fortunes

Since his first appearance as a backup feature in the premiere issue of Little Dot, Richie Rich has become America’s favorite “poor little rich boy,” appearing in a veritable wealth of titles, including this one. Like most Richie Rich titles in the Harvey line, the stories are short, easy for young comics fans to read, and pure escapist fantasy. Let’s face it: who wouldn’t want to be a kid so rich you could keep roomfuls of jewels and cash lying around the estate? Or wish that you could spend that fortune (as Richie so often does) on your wildest experiments and whims (always with hilarious result)? This title tends to feature a couple of Richie’s opposite numbers—usually the snooty Mayda Munny, or the young skinflint, cousin Reggie—who are always shown up by Richie’s big heart and generous spirit. Harvey mainstays Little Dot and Little Lotta also had regular features here, too.
